In addition to regularly scheduled liturgies, the chapel is typically open five days a week: Mondays through Thursdays and on Saturdays from 12-3 p.m., for pilgrimage and visitation; all are welcome. Conversely, the chapel is closed on Fridays, holidays, and in consideration of occasional special events and celebrations; for a complete schedule, check the Calendar page.
Additionally, the Fr. Mollinger Museum and Chapel Shop, located across the street from the chapel, is typically open on Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays from 12-3 p.m., and in conjunction with most pre-arranged group pilgrimages.
There is no cost to visit the chapel, though goodwill offerings are much appreciated; they serve as the chapel's sole source of funds to offset its operating expenses. Additionally, we humbly petition a donation of $3 for the lighting of a votive candle.
Ample free parking is available in the lot across the street, and the chapel is wheelchair accessible.
By and large, chapel tours are offered or made available during the chapel's regular hours of visitation.
Weekdays: By default, weekday tours are self-guided via an audio tour; for those pilgrims and visitors who are unable to access the audio tour from a smartphone, a limited number of portable audio players featuring the audio tour are made available in the chapel. Groups of ten (10) or more seeking a docent-led weekday tour may pre-arrange one by calling 412-999-4401 at least one week before the desired date.
Weekends: Weekend tours are almost always docent-led and typically begin at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., though, depending on various considerations, are subject to deviate from that norm; please know that our dedicated volunteer docents do their absolute best to accommodate the individual needs of every pilgrim and visitor.
While tours are free, a suggested offering of $5/person is much appreciated.
Groups of ten (10) or more seeking a dedicated, docent-led tour – in particular, on a day or at a time beyond those of the chapel’s regular hours of visitation – may arrange one by calling 412-999-4401 at least one week in advance of the group's planned visit. At the same time, please let us know of any special needs the group may have and other considerations so that we can do our best to ensure that each member of the group has a joyous and grace-filled experience. We strive to accommodate as many group requests as possible.
Important: Groups arriving by bus must follow our special driving instructions.
